These 4 dogs were imported by me from Botswana - South Africa to Sweden. Many Swedish dogs of today have these 4 dogs in their pedigree, that is why this page is dedicated to them. Here you can find out the truth about who they were and what happened. In total I have had approxomately 60 dogs passing through my yard in the 20 years that I have been involved with Pit Bulls & Staffs. I never had more than 6 - 8 dogs at any one time, as I like to keep a personal connection to my dogs and provide them with adequate attention. Most dogs came from Carlie Bensch, Pieter Jooste and Jan Burger. Registration af all dogs was done by SADBA. Bob Riot ![]()
INFO: 32 kg. He was happy, easygoing and rough. The most I ever tried to pull with him was 2800 kg which he did with ease.Breeder: Pieter Jooste / Bloemfontain He was sold as my personal situation changed and I no longer had space for him. His new owner started out ok. He had Bob mentally tested, scoring 294 pts out of 300 (Swedish system). Then things changed. He decided in, conjunction with a Norwegian friend, to put Bob into an unobtainable "match weight". Starved and kept in a cage, he finally ate his carpet and died as a result of this, weighing only 22 kg. Personally I believe it was suicide. Idiots!
Trooper - aka - Dajan
INFO: 24 - 27 kg. Extremely rough and completely indestructable. Always in good shape with lots of stamina. In 1994 he returned back to Africa with me. He died of old age 20/06 -03. The stories I have about this dog are endless. I loved him dearly. Breeder: J Burger / South Africa
Warlock
INFO: 25 kg, strong, full of energy
Breeder: J Burger / South Africa Warlock was supposed to be sent to me at 8 weeks, but unfortunetely fell ill with parvo. Once recovered, he was, at 3 months, sent by delivery truck from the breeder. The truck crashed on the way, the driver being killed. After 2 days Warlock was found in his cage along the side of the road. He was then sent on to me. When Warlock was 6 months I moved to Sweden and brought him along which involved four months of quaranteen. All this left him emotionally scared and although he was safe and outgoing at home, he always remained suspicious around strangers. As my personal situation changed I was unable to keep him. I sold him to a Norwegian, who sadly was too weak to say no to his curious friends and agreed, after owning him for less than a week and having no prior experience, to put him through a roll that turned bad. This still angers and saddens me to this day. I have lost dogs to poisoning, accidents, and disease, but never to pure ignorance as was the case with Bob and Warlock.
Zelda
INFO: Her weight used to fluctuate but she was at her best around 23 kg.
Breeder: Pieter Jooste / Bloemfontain Zelda was a "half sister" to Bob. She was powerfull and rough, but super friendly with a very relaxed disposition. Sadly Zelda's skin turned into an uncurable mess, brought on by a near death internal infection after having had puppies. After a long struggle she was put to sleep. Bred only once, to Warlock.
